Our permablitz story

The Central North Island Permablitz network started early 2012, when a group of BOP permaculture designers met Dan Palmer at the Australasian Permaculture Convergence in Turangi. These people held a permablitz in Katikati and  the enthusiasm started that day and has kept on growing.

In 2014 two PDC designers in Turangi  got together and began running blitzes in Turangi. Enthusiastic volunteers from AWHI farm and Hillary Outdoors came along and interest is still growing!

Globally, Permablitz events were first invented in Melbourne by Dan Palmer & Adam Grubb back in 2006.  By 2011 the Melbourne group had done over 100 blitz events and other groups had begun all over Australia.

Permablitz networks based on Dan and Adam’s idea have now begun to spread all over the world so fast, we cant keep up!… (Find out for yourself by googling it!)
